Preservation in Action: Grand Old Belle Grove

Thanks to an excellent team consisting of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s architect, Belle Grove’s staff and local contractors, Belle Grove’s 1797 Manor House is undergoing some major restoration projects. After many months of careful planning and a generous grant award from the National Trust’s Historic Sites Fund, the house’s front and back porticos are receiving new supports and mahogany decking, and all of the exterior woodwork is being repaired and painted.
