Free Admission for Battle of Cedar Creek Anniversary

The Battle of Cedar Creek (October 19, 1864) will be commemorated at Belle Grove with interpretation of the Civil War history of the site. Tour the 1797 home of the Hite family that served as Union General Philip Sheridan’s Headquarters during the Battle of Cedar Creek and survived being at the epicenter of the battle.  Thanks to a generous donation, admission is free of charge on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. The Museum Shop will be open and also has Civil War books and merchandise for sale.
